Performance Muscle Chews

I'm a Veterinary Technician. My beautiful best friend, my almost 14 year old female APBT, has been having a tough year, limping terribly from a decade old "healed" ACL injury. She has been losing a lot of muscle mass, making her also very weak and having difficulty getting up, staying up, and moving around in general. She was losing interest in eating. Her urinary incontinence that she's always had was getting worse than it had ever been. I really thought that was it for her. If I could not get her to eat, I couldn't let her take pain meds, but without pain meds, she had zero appetite and it was a vicious cycle.

6 months ago, I decided to give this a shot. If this didn't help her, then I would make the awful decision to end her suffering. Even though I'm usually more careful about higher protein content with elderly pets, I figured we had nothing to lose by trying it. I'm so glad I did!!

Within a day of twice daily dosing, she wanted to eat. Within a week, she was playing more than she'd played in weeks. I was able to take her for little walks again and she even gained some muscle back. I was able to resume giving her meds to help with pain and inflammation. An odd side effect has been that her life long urinary incontinence has completely stopped on this. I do not understand! She has been on every med on the market and every homeopathic remedy available since she was 2 years old and while they would all initially work, they would stop working rather quickly. This may be similar and maybe it will stop working also but to be honest, I don't know that she'll live long enough for that to happen. It's been amazing not having to change her dog bedding several times a day and not constantly smelling dog urine.

She took 2-3 months of this and then I stopped to see if she could go without it. She did really well and kept her appetite, so I could keep giving her pain meds, and she was acting fine, but she has been losing muscle mass again, struggling to keep her back feet under her, and she needs that muscle to do that. So I bought this again and after just 1-2wks, it's already bringing a little bit of muscle back.

I'm going to keep her on this until her last day with me!

I highly recommend this, especially after illness or injury. It does work! If it works for my old lady, I can only imagine what it would do for a healthy, young dog. I wish I had given this to her when she was younger after her injury. If she'd had more muscle back then, it would have meant less pressure on her joints/etc and it could have meant more quality elderly years now.

Great for your dogs. I’ve been using these since 2019. I know most ppl use them to bulk their dogs muscles but a lot of ppl buy it to just help their dogs maintain good muscle & for the vitamins that are in it.. They are chewables so they soft & I can’t tell you what they smell like bc I can’t pinpoint the smell I just know it don’t stink lol.

I only give 1 chewable a day to my dogs. I have a lil dog who doesn’t like to eat very much and I have tried all kinds of different foods & it was the same with all those foods he barely ate them. So giving him apex k9 labs along with his food had made a big difference. I noticed he started gaining weight in less than 2wks. So weighed him & sure enough he had already gained 4pds. After being on it for a month he had a follow up appointment with the vet to check his weight problem & at this time he had gained 9pds by then. Told the vet what I had been doing & he said that was great he is still eating & has gained weight. He did run bloodwork just to be safe & it all came back normal & said he is healthy. So thats how my other 3 dogs ended up on apex k9 labs.. I have used to help different breeds of dogs over the yrs I have helped strays who were abandoned & starving who had no meat, no muscle gain weight & get the vitamins they needed fast.

They are as easy to give to your dogs like a treat bc they a chewables. So you can give them by hand or put them in their food they are smaller than a quarter.

Sargent just want to say “Roo Roo Roo!” It’s what he does when he is happy. He’s 8 and has had a limp from his right shoulder for some time. After some movement the limp would ease off but reappears each time he gets up from lying down.

I’ve threatened to take him off the “bully bites” if he doesn’t slow down now. He’s going to break his legs or neck for sure. After a week his limp was fading. After two weeks he had no limp at all. He jumps over the end of the bed almost three feet to the floor. Gets Zoomies and out runs my three year old lab. Flies over the end tables.

You guys have created a monster. It’s like he’s two years old again except he weighs 70 pounds. I think the energy comes from his well being.

No negative side effects so far!!

So I didn't get this product to beef up my Pit Bull or Rottweiler. My Siberian Husky is only 5 years old and has suffered from a tear in her cranial cruciate ligament and the surgery is not only expensive but mixed results on success and a normal life, you're only half fixing it. She's been on pain meds, inflammation meds, we bought a pool for her to do water therapy, all these things gave her her mobility back which was great to finally not see her in pain however her whole back end was severely suffering from muscle atrophy, her appetite diminished due to her medicine. I tried more water therapy and short walks in hopes of rebuilding that muscle and no luck. Her back end didn't even look like it belonged to a Siberian Husky. I didn't know what to do and came across this product when searching if there was any medication or supplements to help muscle regeneration. I figured it couldn't hurt, the ingredients are safe. In just a couple of weeks I am noticing a difference in her thighs and hips with the little exercise she is able to tolerate. Her appetite is getting better, she's actually eating an entire meal again. Her energy is great, she plays again with toys and our other dogs. She isn't so depressed and sedentary anymore. Bully has begun to help me get my dog back. I will continue to buy it for her until at the very least her muscle mass seems to where it should be. If you have a dog with this issue definitely give it a shot because surgery or nothing what most vets tell you makes it seem so hopeless but it does not have to be. However if you ARE getting this just to tone your dog up I have no doubts it will work especially if you exercise them regularly since my dog is building muscle and size back with little activity.
